Description

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp optional liqueur (coffee or orange-flavored)
  • whipped cream or chocolate shavings for topping
  • mint leaves for decoration

  • Instructions

    1. Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth and let cool to room temperature.

    2. Beat the chilled heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

    3. Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until fully combined and fluffy.

    4. Slice the strawberries and pat dry to remove excess moisture.

    5. Layer a spoonful of chocolate mousse in each cup, add a layer of sliced strawberries, and repeat until cups are filled.

    6. Tap the cups gently on the counter to level the layers evenly.

    7. Cover the cups and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours to set.

    8. Just before serving, top with whipped cream or chocolate shavings and garnish with mint leaves.
