Ingredients
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir these ingredients together until they are well combined and smooth.
3. Add the shredded or chopped cooked chicken to the cream cheese mixture. Gently fold it in until the chicken is evenly coated and distributed throughout the creamy filling. Avoid overmixing.
4. Open the can of refrigerated crescent rolls. Unroll the dough and separate it into the individual triangles along the perforations. Lay them flat on your prepared baking sheet.
5. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the wider end of each crescent roll triangle. Gently roll each crescent from the wide end towards the pointed tip, encasing the chicken filling.
6. Arrange the rolled crescent pastries on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each. Sprinkle a little extra shredded cheddar cheese over the top of each roll, if desired. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed up, and the filling is heated through.
7. Once baked, remove the crescent rolls from the oven. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving.
