Description

This bright and zesty smoothie combines fresh lemon juice with sweet berries and creamy yogurt for a naturally flavorful summer drink. It’s easy to make at home and perfect for cooling off on hot days.


Ingredients

  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water
  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • Instructions

    1. Roll the lemons on a countertop to soften them, then juice to extract about 1/4 cup of lemon juice and strain out seeds.

    2. Wash and hull the strawberries, using frozen berries if you prefer a thicker texture.

    3. In a blender, combine lemon juice, strawberries, yogurt, honey or agave, and water or coconut water.

    4. Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high until the mixture is smooth.

    5. Add ice cubes and blend again until creamy and frosty, adding extra ice or frozen fruit to adjust thickness.

    6. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more honey or lemon juice, then pour into chilled glasses and garnish if desired.
