Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional, for extra tang)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Fresh chives or green onions, chopped, for garnish (optional)
  • Celery sticks, carrot sticks, bell pepper strips, or whole wheat crackers for serving

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or a similar-sized oven-safe serving dish.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese. If your cream cheese isn’t soft, you can microwave it for 15-30 seconds until it’s pliable but not melted.

    3. To the softened cream cheese, add the buffalo wing sauce, plain Greek yogurt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix these ingredients thoroughly with a spatula or an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

    4. Gently fold in the shredded cooked chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese into the cream cheese mixture. If using, also fold in half of the crumbled blue cheese. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated and distributed throughout the dip.

    5. Spoon the entire dip mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese and any remaining blue cheese (if using) over the top of the dip.

    6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden brown.

    7. Once baked, carefully remove the dip from the oven. Let it rest for a minute or two before garnishing with fresh chopped chives or green onions, if desired. Serve hot with your choice of dippers.
