Ingredients

  • 12 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 12 ounces white chocolate
  • 68 medium candy canes, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil or shortening

  • Instructions

    1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth and add 1 teaspoon coconut oil.

    3. Spread melted dark chocolate into a 9×12 inch rectangle and chill until firm, about 15 minutes.

    4. Melt white chocolate with remaining teaspoon coconut oil and stir in peppermint extract if using.

    5. Pour white chocolate over chilled dark layer and gently swirl for a marbled effect.

    6. Immediately sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top and press lightly.

    7. Refrigerate until completely set, about 30–45 minutes.

    8. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
