Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 (15 ounce) can mixed vegetables, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (7.5 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (5 biscuits)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for brushing biscuits)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or a similar-sized oven-safe skillet.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded or diced cooked chicken, condensed cream of chicken soup, milk, drained mixed vegetables, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir everything together thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the chicken and vegetables are evenly coated in the creamy sauce.

    3. Pour the chicken and vegetable mixture into your prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spoon or spatula. Ensure the filling forms a relatively flat layer so that the biscuits can sit nicely on top.

    4. Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough. Separate the biscuits and arrange them on top of the chicken mixture. You can place them in a single layer, slightly overlapping if necessary, to cover most of the filling.

    5. If desired, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and lightly brush the tops of the biscuits.

    6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed up, golden brown on top, and the filling is hot and bubbling around the edges.

    7. Once baked, carefully remove the dish from the oven. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. If you like, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
