Whether you’re hosting a game day gathering, need a quick party snack, or just want a fun weeknight meal, this recipe delivers on both taste and ease. It’s designed to be straightforward, making it accessible for even the most novice cooks, and the results are always a hit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough sheets or seamless dough
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or finely diced
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.

    2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, shredded cheddar cheese, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir everything together until the chicken is thoroughly coated and the cheeses are evenly distributed.

    3. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto your prepared baking sheet. If using seamless dough, cut it into 16 triangles. If using perforated crescent rolls, separate them into 8 triangles, then cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 smaller triangles. Arrange the triangles in a circle on the baking sheet, with the wider ends overlapping slightly in the center and the points facing outwards, creating a sunburst or star shape. There should be a small opening in the center.

    4. Spoon the buffalo chicken mixture evenly around the wider ends of the crescent roll triangles, forming a ring. Make sure the filling is contained and doesn’t spill too far into the center or too close to the points.

    5. Starting from the wider end of each crescent triangle, gently fold the dough point over the filling and tuck it under the wider end of the opposite triangle. Continue this process around the entire ring, ensuring the filling is enclosed. You might need to gently pinch the dough to seal it.

    6. Brush the top of the crescent ring with the melted butter. This will help it achieve a beautiful golden-brown crust. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

    7. Once baked, remove the crescent ring from the oven. If desired, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a touch of color. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
