1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and chopped herbs
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil until shimmering
3. Add chicken and sear undisturbed until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side
4. Transfer chicken to a plate and keep warm
5. Reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté until fragrant
6. Pour in lemon juice and chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the skillet
7. Stir in chopped herbs and let the sauce simmer until slightly thickened
8. Add asparagus to the pan and cook until crisp-tender, about 3–4 minutes
9. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top, cooking together for another minute
10. Serve chicken and asparagus with extra sauce and garnish with fresh herbs
